yep got the same bullcrap msg about late fees ie Hollywood video in Az trying to collect 30.00 $ from 2009 even though the chic admitted it was chapter 11/7 that had been settled& no collection agency would be reported...I told her to send me afn official letter .I had never heard of any collection post filing/ settlement...no letter, they just keep trying my #& I keep ignoring them!
Sometimes these collection agencies are on "fishing expeditions", and call phone numbers that belonged to another person decades ago. I receive dozens of calls from collection agencies for people with the last name `Smith`. I'm not a `Smith`, and no with access to our business phone number have the name `Smith`. We've had the same business phone number since 1980.I assume that some people made up a phone number on their credit applications. Telling these bozos that they have the wrong number and to take us off of their list is useless. I simply block their calls.
