Thanks so much for this post. I received a cheque of thrice the money I quoted for my stuffs on craiglist from Omega Protien Corporation. It looked very suspicious from the start. Reading the comments above helps me connect the dots. Thanks

this same person tried to scam me also using the speech disabled ploy i checked the # and found it to be a fraud # 301-741-4871 do you still have this when can i see it ect ect.the name was shalton smith this is getting old poeple just want to rip you off and nobody does anything about it or say they cantwe elect poeple so they cant help us is what i have been seeing as of late.

I received this email in response to a craigslist posting for furniture. I think it is a scam because when I googled the email address the scammer provided this website came up with other people's messages from the same scammer.Here is the message:"I’m trying to get a few stuffs to my place; just wondering if you still got the furniture; please feel free to get back to me at johnnylan0404 at gmail . com … Thank youJonasSent from my iPad"

It won't be as bad as identity theft right???
