Thanks Rainman for the follow up,I left a message for Nationsline to call me about the harrassing calls from 301-882-9986. I checked with the fCC on my complaint. How typical for the government...they tell me they are not sure they can do anything. Idiots. I'll let you know what Nationsline says. I think all of us should call Nationsline to complain.
301-882-9986 has been calling both of my home lines and my cell phone, but all it ever says is the call cannot be connected or something like that. I agree- let's stop them. What do I need to do?

We keep getting a call from this number at work every day. When I answer it I get a recording, sounds like an operator.
If you have your number listed with the national do not call register you can file a complaint against them with the Federal Trade Commission. I think your number has to be registered for 30 days first, though.

This phone number called me twice in a row tonight "(301)882-9986". Both times a recording said "oh my mistake, sorry about that" I am worried that they are trying to possibly hack through my modem or something like that.I don't know if this is from the same number but, a few times I have gotten voicemail messages from a pre-recorded caller that may be the same company. I think their intention is to leave a voice mail that, strangely enough, says "sorry I missed you..." and I can't remember the rest.

When you answer the phone they hang up. They are trying to see if the number is actually associated with a person or not. Most likely they will clone the number.
