please stop calling my home all hours of the day and night

Yes, it almost fooled me! I got the same notice from World Financial Network National Bank yesterday saying they disclose all info they collect about me to companies performing marketing or other services on their behalf, etc. and if I wanted to opt out I could call 1-800-220-1181. I called and the automatated message asked for either my account numbers or my social security numbers. I can't believe that this is being done. Does anyone know who I can report this to to stop this practice?!

they ask for addresses so that they can make sure that they are speaking to the right or wrong person. They are not able to give out information such as an address, ssn or anything like that due to the law and no one would want someone to give out their information.

They only ask for the last digits of a ssn. There is nothing that can be done with the last 4 digits of someones ssn. They do this to verify the person they are talking to so that they don't give out sensitive information to a third party.

I kept getting calls from 303-255-5352 with a caller ID of Unknown Name. Whenever I would answer there would be silence at the other end. Finally I called the number. It is World Financial Network National Bank. I asked them why they were calling my number and they said they were trying to reach (name). I told them nobody by that names lives here, ever lived here nor do I recognize that name. The representative at the other end was very courteous and agreed to have the calls stop.

Always Calling our home and will not leave a message. We had our number registered for "Do Not Call List" but somehow these Call Center who had an automated dialer managed to call homes at their leisure. There is a hefty penalty for such callers due to "Do Not Call List" ruling.

My wife is getting a call from them all the time - they were asking for some name we don't know- they wanted an address before revealing information - I did not give it as they seem very deceptiveI'm researching them "World Financial Network National Bank"

They call all the time as well and refuse to say the name of the company or exactly why they are calling.

This number calls and the other party never says anything at all...just silence. They have called twice today already- June 12, 2007.
