These jokers harass people for years, using (what this site's moderator says) more than 400 different numbers, from a lot of different Area Codes. Today's use by Portfolio Recovery of this specific number makes it #48 in the various numbers they have used to call my number that I have seen over the past three years. Fortunately, call-blocking services nip every one of these calls in the bud and disconnect them. NEVER answer calls at any time -- they call 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, 365 days a year -- from Portfolio Recovery.

This is a number that calls morning and night and they have called over three year's and I finally found out who it is Spam on regular phone.A Pain in the --- .It doesn't stop.They will call all hour's.Beware.I think it is time that sueing them is in order

Failure to pay the debt has no Effect on your credit, you can't be sued. But if you choose to pay, they can, and most times do, report the payment to your credit report causing a negative mark. If you send them a certified letter saying you do not want them to call you and that any more attempts will be considered as harassment. If they call again after you receive confirmation that you're letter was received, take them to court and 9 times out of 10 they will settle wirh you outside od court.

After the statue of limitations is expired the debt is worthless and paying such debt will only negatively impact your credit and bank accounts. If the debt was worth the value, the collection agency would have sued before the expiration date.Never pay any debt that is past the statue of limitations. The debt collection agency like PRA are bottom feeders and the better part of the debt they call on isn't legally a debt they own. Another worthless company providing nothing to society.

Your comments are pointless. The IRS scammers make plenty of money scamming US citizens too. If the debt is past the statue of limitation, the debt is worthless. If the debt is within the statue of limitations, consult an attorney to reply on your behalf. Contacting a company like PRA will not be if it you in any way.Also as a good point on how bad this company really is, the settled a class action lawsuit for illegally contacting people argessivly on mobile phone numbers.Lastly people invested in Enron and worldcom also and look where those people are today. Just because it's publicly traded means nothing. PMA is another typical bottom feeder.You must be an employee who feels the he need to progress the worthless tactics of PMA.
