A good way to deal with these [***] is to get Google Voice (free) and have that be the number you give out. You know it's one of these jerks because they won't leave a message and you can use Google Voice to block that number. Plus, you don't have to deal with them at all. Makes life so much nicer :)

You are so correct Jenny. Never give your cell or home phone out to anyone you do business with. Google Voice number only. That way if things go South on you for any reason, you can block them forever with no limit on the number of phone numbers you can block. We ported our home phone to Google Voice years ago and rarely get any spammer calls. If we do, we just block them.
