these people are ruthless. they call usually in the evenings,3 or 4 times in 2 hrs! Airhorn works the best. Talk softly, they will have to turn up their earpiece. The rest is up to U.
Aspen Media & Marketing Research is the caller. So, I think I'll take their call and give them a bunch of B.S. Matter of fact from now on... I am going to just 'play' with these people. After I got used to obscene phone calls when young... I got them to hang up on me. Time to play!City Search has the info on the number.
If someone is on the Do Not Call list, then, no matter how legitimate a company is, if the called party has NEVER done any business with them then they should NEVER receive a call.
Here's is some info and a tip I learned from somebody I know who used to work in the call center biz. Perhaps this will help to explain a lot of what we're hearing.- If you don't pick up or if you keep sending their calls to voicemail, they WILL keep calling. They will not leave messages. All you need to do is pick up and listen to their 10 second spiel and then tell them to take your name off the list. They must do it. - If you hear silence, or delay, that's because they use an automated dialer that waits to connect to a live caller. It's not a person trying to prank you with dead air. It's a technology issue.- If you get hung up on while waiting for the caller to connect, that's also a technology issue.- Research companies are not required by State or Federal law to scrub their lists against DNC lists, as long as they are conducting legitimate research. If they ask for money, then they are violating the terms of the law.- If you get these calls at your place of business, they can legally call you if you have an existing business relationship with the purveyor of whatever product/magazine/newsletter/etc they are calling about.
303-786-9500adzholes have called a couple of dozen times and never left a message - I finally answered even though it would "validate" my number and asked her "Who the phuqque are you and why have you called me a couple of dozen times and never left a message? She was apparently stunned into dumb silence, did not respond for several seconds, so I told her "Don't ever call me again!" -- We'll see if they honor that.
This company has been harassing my family for weeks. My daughter attended a college fair a few weeks ago, and now she's continuing to get harassing survey calls from what appears to be a telemarketer contracted by CU Boulder. I started the survey, and the more questions I answered that swayed away from CU Boulder, the angrier he got. And then he had the audacity to call after we hung up and scream at me because he wanted credit for the survey! Ridiculous!
Thank goodness for Smart Limits from at&t - I just added this number to my block-call list.
