GOT A CALL ABOUT 6 P.M. MACHINE PICKED UP NOBODY SAID ANYTHING. DON'T CARE IF IT LEGIT, IF I WANT A MAGAZINE I WILL GO BUY ONE...AM ON NO CALL AS IS EVERYONE ADN YET THEY STILL DO...
Woman with accent, who spoke slowly and tried to enunciate, introduced herself as a representative of Aspen Media. She wanted to speak with a specific person, who she identified as the meeting planner, about a magazine. I researched the employee and discovered that she had nothing to do with that department. The caller insisted (nicely) that was the data in their records, and I had to repeat my findings three times. She finally accepted it and said that she would correct the information.
Aspen has been calling our office for almost 3 years now. At first it was for a crappy trade mag that the recipient never read- they just piled on his desk cuz he's rarely at this office. I would tell Aspen's minions this every time they called, so they'd try to get another number for him or get me to renew it for him or give them a new name to send the magazine to (boy do they try to sucker receptionists!). After a year of this, they finally gave up on the trade mag front. Then they moved onto the posters scam (they sell compliance posters that you can get for free from the gov). They usually hang up when I explain that we are aware these posters are free and don't need to pay anyone for them. They hang up when I ask them to stop calling. They hang up when we say we aren't interested. They hang up if I ask who is calling. Their crappy autodialer hangs up more than their minions though, which is also illegal. Dropped calls are regulated, no matter why the telemarketer is calling.Respectable companies do not harrass people into becoming customers, even if we did do any sort of business over the phone.Aspen usually calls us through a Cascade Callworks call center at 360.892.6151
They've recently started calling for my CEO by first and last name to sign him up for some free subscription. She called a couple hours ago and I let her know my CEO was out of the office (true, he was at a funeral) and that he wouldn't be in until tomorrow. I just received ANOTHER flippin' call from her asking for him! I put her straight to VM but after that I will never put her through again, and especially after reading the comments on here. Check your damn notes on the number and realize you called already and that I told you to call back tomorrow because my CEO is at a FUNERAL!Good luck calling back because you're just going to sit on hold until you hand up.
As soon as I answered they hung up. They called yesterday and didn't leave a message. My caller I.D. says "ASPEN MEDIA". Stop calling me,please.
A marketer called trying to get me to subscribe to a "Free" magazine. When I told him I was not interested at this time, he say "You Fuc;; FagXX" and hung up.
