numerous calls with hangups

We receive these phone calls three or four times a week. The caller ID always just says Florida. They usually hang up about halfway through my greeting (this is a business line). I was able to obtain the actual phone number because I had the line forwarded to my cell phone last week. They hung up that time as well. Today though, they actually asked for a former employee of ours. When I said he no longer worked here, and could I help them with something, they sat there silently for a few seconds as I repeatedly said hello, then hung up. What the heck is it? Has anyone ever called the number back? I'm so curious ...

One of the most straightforward services is call blocking (telephone code *60); subscribers simply specify the numbers they want blocked, and when those numbers call, the phone doesn't ring. Callers receive a message telling them that their call has been blocked.

I am also having the same problem with that number. Is there any way we can block it by asking our phone provider?

I've had two of these in two days; the first one I ignored and let it go to voicemail (muffled background conversations only) and today I answered it; as soon as I gave a standard business greeting the caller disconnected.

I have been receiving these calls myself. Once I googled that number I saw everyone who visited the Acai site is being harassed. I called my card company and explained the situation so I would not be charged.. Than I called the National Do Not Call List. Good luck to you because it did not work for me.

This call is related to your participation in one of several "Free Trials" of either CoQ10 or Resverital(sp). Your phone number and email address has been sold to the highest bidder. And because you've done business with this company you can not put them on the "Do Not Call List" for 6 months. I would try it anyway.
