Albeit so: Most of these slimy tele-scammers call from countries OUTSIDE the U.S.--the AMERICAN DNC Registry DOES work. Purportedly, there are U.S. Government "liaisons", speaking to officials in Canada, Jamaica, Mexico--however, it's a given logical assumption many of these officials may've been bought off by wealthy organized crime outlets that finance these tele-scam rings. But NEVER let that stop your reports and NEVER answer caller ID calls YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE. If the call is legit, they'll leave a voicemail.

The AMERICAN DNC Registry DOES work....preventing tele-scammers in the U.S. from reaching you; they simply can't go after tele-scammers OUTSIDE the U.S. "Member Services" is disguised to appear sourced from Michigan; the call's TRUE source is.....are you sitting down??? CUBA!! You heard right, folks--and it's a pricey phone bank rig, that evidently is well tier financed; I'm assuming from drug cartel / mafia-type organized crime guys.

Just received a telemarketing call trying to sell me a device to block unwanted call. What irony.

ID said card services. Old scam call new number. I did not answer.

I just finished a call from the Manager of the Louisiana Do Not Call List. She said that the calls from this number are not typical telemarketers, but are using that approach to scam and commit fraud. They are using sophisticated equipment bounce phone signals off of open satellites. They are extremely hard to follow. When you backtrack the signal to say Michigan, that may be the last place the signal was bounced from, not the site of origin. Louisiana, along with several others states, are working with the Federal Government to try an find a solution to this. It may help if each of you out there contact your states do not call list, or actually my return call came from a letter to the Governor's office. She said under no circumstances should you press any button when you get the call. Each time you do, you are not taking your number off the list, but instead, the caller is reselling your number to others as an active number. Either don't answer, or hang up immediately. Member Services is only a front for many other companies. They do not exist. I hope this information is helpful at least to some. You can also get more information from the Louisiana Public Service Commission website, or the Louisiana Do Not Call website. What ever you may do, DO SOMETHING. Doing nothing allows the scam and fraud artist to continue to prey on the people of this great land.

With me, it came down to buying a good call blocker or give the world the finger and rip my phone cord from the wall. I found a Sentry Call Blocker on eBay and, WOW, does it work! All roto calls are stopped in their tracks. You can add a number (after they've called) to an accept or reject list. Love it! And it stores a LOT of numbers!

I don't answer calls from this number, so today I received back-to-back calls from this and another number from these @ssholes. The other robocall came from 313-355-5255, also in Michigan. This scam company has been calling me for years now. Ever time I have their number blocked, they change numbers. I pray that these @ssholes die a quick and painful death.
