I have just received a call from this number on my cell!! I did not answer 'cause I know it's not a number I know and I checked on the web and found this forum. I have entered my phone numbers on a gov. list not to be bothered and they're still calling!

Just got called in Toronto on my cell. No message.

The DNC list is for active and responsible organizations that call for funding like the Red Cross and Humane Society. Those idiots that call you on your cell & at home and harrass you all day are the robo dialers and dont register of course for these legitimate calls. I work for a phone company and hate to place people onto the DNC list as the only people that now contact them are the scammers and scum of the earth, otherwise they would have registered like good boys and girls. And American callers arent on any Canadian lists either so they can call ad nausium like this company is. Always beware of callers from another country, chances are they are bypassing and rerouting their calls so they cant be traced either. Bless their little fraudulent hearts !!!

I use prepaid service from multiple companies, I often use Bell and Virgin Mobile Canada whenever they offer me a "we'll double your top up" promotion. Obtaining numbers is a matter of checking any database these crooks can get their hands on. However, I see a pattern here and I don't like this. Whenever I have a Bell/Virgin number active I get numerous calls from these Bahamas Cruise crooks and collection calls for former Bell/Virgin customers. My Rogers numbers get the occasional call or text message but nothing like Bell/Virgin. My SaskTel number has never received a call like this. I can understand my home phone getting a few because I'm listed. I believe Bell (and its MVNOs) is selling our numbers to these crooks.

Surely a telemarketer. Just called me in Toronto. I am on the national do not call list but I no longer answer calls from unknown numbers because of the volume of scamming telemarketers. While I'm at it, go to hell, Apple, for not including a call blocking function on the iPhone. Millions of stupid games and bizarre apps are available but one must jailbreak the phone to install a call blocker.

Just had a call today from this number to my cell. I don't answer unknown numbers so I dont have any other information. I am a pastor in Nova Scotia

When this number call you, listen to it instead of turning off the phone, you can dial #9 to erase your number from their data base. I did it and it work! No more phone calls
