I am a college student going into finals and over the last month have received numerous calls from this number. They do not leave a message and when you call back you get this recording. There should be a law against this form of harassment.

Good for you!These idiots legally invalidate any possible legitimate claim because of the consistent repeated blatant violations of collections laws so even if a claim were legitimate to begin with, it loses all validity when they handle it and becomes invalid. Something that their clients may want to consider before hiring their company.The number of laws the CBE Group violates is enormous and it is truly amazing they have not been completely shutdown already or their executives thrown in jail. I have enough on them personally alone to cost them millions in fines and plenty of jail time to go around for all.Whether they have a legitimate claim or not. If they have a right name or calling a wron number, I would not recommend anyone talking with or associating with this company in any way other than to tell them to go to hell.It is sad this day in age but really you need extensive security on all phones and filter all calls from abusers like this.Sorry to hear you had to block an entire area code but perhaps that is not such a bad idea. By default, I block all area codes except those where I might have a legitimate call and then even in those, have limited phone numbers and exchanges allowed to voicemail. Local is a little less restrictive bit again goes mostly straight to voicemail. Those who are able to call me directly are very few and limited in number.When calling my number, people first go to a private service that does an immediate background check of the caller. Those who know and access code AND are calling from an authorized number can get quick handling to get on through to get forwarded to my real number which is never given out and can only be called by my service. Calla are additionally screened electronically again with advanced blocking systems at my phone as well.It is very sad. I have no debts. No accounts. All accounts I hold are in the name of legitimate corporations and have no personal association to myself which guarantees these types of companies have no business calling me and wrong number yet they do all the time as do also scammers and spammers, telemarketing, etc. and the list goes on.My teenage daughter gets these types of calls as well asking for names we never heard of and refusing to stop calling.It is so sad and government does not do enough to stop the abuse.Finally, for our own sanity now the movie star level of security which probably everyone out there really needs.Anyway, good for you. Block these bozos.

if you continue to harass my cell phone at all hours of the night thru the days every damn day. i am planning on turning over the calls i have been saving to my lawyer for phone harassment if this continues...stop with the calls this is your final warning before a lawsuit occurs..you have the wrong number and take me off the call list asap.

I have gotten 3 calls from this number just today. You would think that if the call is from a legitimate collection agency, they would be leaving a name and number for you to call back. I have not been left a singe message with what the call is regarding. I have gotten collection calls before, legitimate businesses that want their money will leave messages!

they are the worest and true way of soft harrassment in debt collections.

what do you work for them..I answered the phone explained my situation now they call me from 3 different numbers all day long..
