Well, I wasn't home and I missed my call from Rachel and she didn't leave a message either. I had forgotten until checking here that Rachel uses this 321-304-9999 number (among many others). But, not to worry, experience tells me that I'll get a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, .... nth chance to lower my credit card interest rates even if Rachel always tells me on the current call that "this is your final notice". And, it is nice that Rachel always tells me that there is nothing wrong with my credit cards (as if she would know if there were). It is the first time "Cell Phone" came up as the caller on the caller ID though, that I remember anyway. If I replace my current phones, I think that I will consider one of the call blocking phones mentioned a couple of notes back.
It is one company running the same credit card scam. They imply they are with "the credit card company" and want to lower your rates. The caller id information is being forged so for them to change the number they appear to call from is easy and quick for them to do. They will totally refuse to provide you with any information about their company such as their business name, a telephone number where they can be reached, a mailing address, or even the state where they are located.I'm looking at a couple of possible options for dealing with them:1. Waste their time by providing their operator with tons of useless information that goes nowhere.2. Speak soft and quietly so they turn up the volume on their headset then blow a really loud whistle.
i answered it was a recording saying it was my last chance to lower the interest rate on my credit card. I don't use credit cards...SCAM!
Over the past 2-3 months, I've received a "robo-call" from (321) 304-9999; Florida is on the Caller ID. The message is regarding "lowering your credit card interest rate." Further, the voice notes "Press 1 to speak to an operator, or Press 3 to" be removed from the call list, or decline the offer, or whatever. The first time I got the call, I pressed 1 so I could inquire where they got my number. The live person was rude as hell and after I responded in kind, she promised I wouldn't receive any more calls. But, the calls continue to come, even after using the Press 3 option. Calling the number back doesn't work either.*I* bought my phone. *I* pay the monthly bill. Why do *I* get punished by having to receive these calls? I've used the "register your number on the do no call list ... and continue doing it every other year. Still, the calls come. WHO, out there in the government, IS HELPING US? I taught my children to "be fair to others," but where's the fairness here?
At 11.43 a.m. EST, (321) 304-9999 woke me from Florida and there was no message. The odd number ending in 9s is such that if I am recalled I will not even try to answer . . . which is difficult if you are taking a nap and are rushing to respond.
A bogus company who identifies itself as "Credit Card Services" uses the 321-304-9999 number, which is sometimes identifed on Caller ID as Iris Vasquez and sometimes as unknown. These people also use 406-219-2085 and other numbers. Even though you listen to the message and then punch in the number (9, sometimes) to be removed from the caller list that you shouldn't be on in the first place, your number will never be removed. You are simply transferred to a salesperson. When you ask that your number be removed, you will be hung up on or cursed, etc. I know because it's happened to me many times.Another person had an excellent idea. Why don't we all try this? This person thought that we should listen to the menu and punch in the number to have our phone number removed. Then when the real live salesperson starts talking, just use a very loud whistle, in response. It is a shame that the DO NOT CALL people are doing absolutely nothing about these con artists!
