I just finished dialing the customer service number on the back of my cc (1-877-825-3242) and spoke with a Credit One bank rep. I was told that the number (1-325-267-9188) was not only unfamiliar to them, but was neither listed within their directory. I don't know then who these people are working for or what their purpose is, but it does raise an eye brow; scary, to say the least.
Received two calls from this number today. No voicemail left from either one. I do have an account with Credit One and I believe the people who stated they contacted Credit One about the number. Thank gawd my cell has a block feature for unwanted calls.
i also got call from this company or whatever they are, the asked to speak to me,,,i asked who they were and what company they were calling from, they refuse to give me any info
Hello, Gatestone operates a large collections office in Toronto and is likely the call center you are referring to. They handle 1st Party (collecting with the current creditors assistance) and 3rd Party (Charged Off, Pending Legal, Recovery). The CFPB is aware of Credit One's tactics. I would encourage you to file a complaint with the CFPB in this case. I understand your comment is from 2015, however anyone having similar issues should consider the CFPB as an option to help reduce the stress of the collections group.
Called five times his morning. Left two messages. An automated voice saying there’s an arrest warrant out for me and to call right away. (I have a Credit One card.)
