It is Credit One and they started harassing me one week before my payment was due. I just ignored them and made my payment 3 days before the due date. Now they are calling telling me my payment was late and I am over my limit. When I tried to tell the Haji that was on the phone that I made my payment 3 days before the due date she would not let me talk or tell her I MADE my payment early and for more than the minimum and it's not possible that I'm late. So when she did take a breath I jumped in and told her where she could go and I hung up on her.
Just got a Trac Fone. Now I'm getting calls from this credit collection agency which I know nothing about.
SCAM! Kept calling me, I demanded to know who kept calling me and wouldnt give me any details. BLOCK the caller
Duh. Use your phone to prescreen calls. Don't recognise number? No message left? IGNORE it as a misdial. No problemo, amigo.
I have received ten calls or more in the past two days from these people. They are scammers trying to collect "payments" from Credit One Bank customers. My payment is not late and the number is not associated with them. I reported the number to the FCC.
This number is calling my phone every single day! Yes, I do have credit one. Sounds to me someone possibly working at credit one sold their leads to Indian scammers.
I was 2 days late on my payment (my bad - just worked 4 nights straight, put in over 50 hours). Called me 5 times yesterday in a matter of a few hours. Called me twice already this morning - the 2nd time was about 15 minutes after I made a payment online of well over the minimum amount due. The guy that called me spoke broken English & spoke very rapidly. Could only understand 1/2 of what he said; however, I did understand him all 5 times - in - a - row - that he firmly requested/demanded I make a payment of $25 more. I asked him "why would I do that when I just paid MORE than the balance due?!" He s stumbled on his words for a second then asked "Excuse me?" I repeated myself. He then said "To bring down my balance further." Then he pressured me AGAIN to pay more money. I told him IF I were to do that I absolutely would not give my information over the phone. Again, I got "Excuse me?" I repeated myself. He told me that was fine, I could use my bank account of choice. Huh?? I told him "Look, I already made a payment. Don't harass me to make more." He tried to tell me he was just trying to benefit me. I stopped him there & told him "Don't harass me anymore." He apologized & I hung up. End of story. No idea if they are legit or not. Go with your gut - but I would strongly suggest paying online or by snail mail!!!!!
Only a person with six college degrees will understand this subtle wisdom. If you recognize the caller and wanna talk wit dem... then answer the call. "Ello? Ello?" Otherwize ignore it as a misdial... eazyAzSpit.
