I keep receiving these calls saying that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me. I know that this not true because the IRS does not make any calls.

Received 2 messages back to back today....demanding a call back...said he was from IRS and a lawsuit had been filed

I am a caregiver and my poor 89 year old client gets these calls everyday like clockwork and they have money to burn, one time her son happen to be here, and he picked up the phone, and he called them back, and sure enough it was a scam, he told them " I WORK FOR THE IRS AND I HAVE FOR YEARS " AND THEY HANGED UP ON HIM ! ( LOL ) WE GIGGLED ALL ABOUT IT, AND HE TOLD ME NOT TO FALL FOR THOSE FOOLS !

Wanted $2,400.00 for taxes, sais i had a warrant

I got this call today too...if you watch the news at all you know that these are scam calls. still, upon hearing those words my stomach dropped...just for a second.

I have now had over 5 calls from this number that I'm being sued by the IRS. Since I am in the finance industry I know it's a scam, I feel so bad for anyone who falls for these types of scams.

I called the number back. When they started asking for my name I asked them to tell me who they were trying to reach. They had my name but I told them I was calling because they had the wrong number and to remove my name from the list. No goodbye or anything just a click.

This is the callback number left on the recording when I didn't answer my cellphone because I didn't recognize the caller's number.The Caller ID shows the calling number as 1-213-141-5163. I accidentally dialed that number when trying to retrieve the voicemail message it left me - my cell carrier said "That number is not allowed" so I couldn't even call it back if I wanted to.As others have stated, this is a SCAM - it is masquerading as "the IRS" threatening to file a lawsuit against you. Apparently people still fall for this scam and send money via Western Union (untraceable, and non-refundable) to these scammers. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!

These people are ruthless pieces of *hit. Call them up knowing full well that this is nothing but a scam. Ask him for their badge number he replies with some bogus number and name. I then say where do you all get off preying on others and that i'm law enforcement. As soon as I said that click.....just what I thought!!
