I answered the call since they called on my business line (and I thought it may be a client). The caller ID said NY, New York. There was a pause of silence and then a recorded voice started talking. I instantly hung up. Glad I did after now reading all the comments on this site. I am guessing that the "Do Not Call" registry is no longer working.

"illegal robo call. remove from all call listings. this number has been reported."this is what i say every time they call.

I answered the phone and pressed "1" knowing full well it was a scam. I got Shawn, who had a foreign accent. I played with him. I told him I had 20K in cc debt. I asked him what company he represented. He named a whole slew of cards....MC, visa, chase, etc. He asked what card had the most amount. I asked him where he was born. (Germany.....no, I don't think so). I told him I was on the DNC list and he was a scammer and to never call again. He responded with "f*ck you [***]". I just started laughing and laughed as I hung up on him. He was still swearing at me.

Had to turn off most of my phone ringers.This call is from New York, NY.Add this one from CA, 323-943-1869and this one from FL, 850-252-8164I was able to put one on hold. And hung up on one, and one hung up on me because I picked up but said nothing.Be aware that they will also try to call with 'Private Caller' in the ID, but I refuse to pick up those type calls.Most of the 'Private Caller' folks never leave messages.

I received a call today at home 10:44 am. CID just showed the tele # twice. I did not answer; no message left.

Got a call from this number also. Did not answer. I decided to call back. Got recorded message to press any digit to be removed from this list. Crazy. I didn't press anything because of pots on this site. Thanks.

I received a call just now, don't know anyone in NYC so I hit "talk" then "end" immediately. A few months ago I purchased a phone that I can block up to 2000 numbers on so I blocked this one so they can join the other 50 numbers that are blocked. What a difference this ability has made in the number of calls I get, best $90 ever spent!

I don't answer any calls I don't know who the person or company is that is calling. And when they don't leave a message, a sure sign it could be a telemarketer. Why not leave a message? Because they work on commission on the calls THEY make and are not allowed to leave messages.

Called my cell phone today....no idea how they got that number. I didn't answer and no message was left.
