Computers are wonderful except when it comes to these harassing telephone calls; I am sure they punch in a time and number for the computer to automatically call. They are wasting their time with me, however. And, as you say, they rotate telephone numbers all the time. I wonder how rich the telephone company gets from all of the lines and numbers they get. It is getting so bad, they are now getting software that shows I am calling myself, and that when I recognize my name and telephone number, they expect an answer. I called the telephone company, and they told me they would trace who is doing this. The World is Not Enough!
With all the syber crime and syber tech. we have today. If the FCC would clamp down, catch and with stiff fines, just think, we wouldn't have to pay any taxes.
In your call log (where it says the calls that have been made, missed, or incoming) find the number that you want to block. Hold down on the number, once its been selected press the options button (may look like three vertical dots, depends on phone) and add to reject list.
This is the third time they've called me I don't answer so why do they keep calling and it's always from Rhode Island
Call hang up in Nevada at 245 pm PST. For you who complain the DNC list does not work. When do crooks abide by the law? Isn't their purpose to scam people dumb enough to pick up and talk with these crooks? If you do not know who is calling, do not pick up. This is a new phone number; they switch it every month or two when the FCC is told of the number and when they called. The Feds can not catch them if you do not report them. You can whine all you want; it is like scam emails: they will not stop. They want the eldery and impaired to answer and be suckered in and their lives ruined. Warn them not to answer -- and you do not respond either. ANYONE who responds gets their phone number sold to another crook. As for "how did they get my number" -- uh, it is called robo calls -- they call every number and sit and watch and wait for a sucker to pick up the phone. Crooks are crooks. That wil never change and now crooks from around the world infiltrate your phones. All phones.
A big thumbs up! We do need to do our part in this also. If they are calling your cell phone as they are mine you can add the number to a blocked call list. I can do it via my providers website but you can also call your provider and have the number blocked. I've also had to have numbers blocked from spam texts
