Recording said it was in regards to my current credit card account. If you want to lower you interest please press "1". I did. Told the guy to take me off the calling list. He hung up. I changed my house phone to get rid of these telamarkers. Now they have got both mine and my wifes cell #'s.
4015834565 called me no message. The number showed it was from Rhode Island. Said it was disconnected then "cox communication".
Got a call from them, missed it, called back and the number was "not in service." Glad I didn't answer!
Sometimes I play with them. I tell them I have over 30g's in debt spread over 6 cards with interests rate from 15 to 25%. I make it look like I really am interested in their service. It keeps them from talking to someone else. The other day I got a call about taking a certain med and I went ahead and pressed the talk to the rep button and waited about a minute for someone to come on and said - yes, I did take the med and I died from it. hilarious.,
I received an automated call, and apparently they recorded a legit (BofA- like) prompting to make it sound like it was the real bank. It said I could lower my interest rate. When an Indian-sounding guy answered, I said that my account was closed and he said "okay" and hung up. Real bank contacts don't just hang up. Also, they didn't seem to know whether I had a Visa or a Master Card and what the bank name was. I have since blocked it on my phone. I would not have given him any information anyway. Losers.
Got a call, sent it to voicemail and they didn't leave a message. thanks to people in this thread for warning me.
This company calls my cell phone daily. How do I stop them?Even when I press 1 to speak with representative, they do not answer.
Just got a call from this number, luckily I was taking another call. GOOGLEd the number and got these notes. Thanks for the heads up.
I think what they do is rent an office somewhere and set up the computer to start dialing. When someone pushes the "talk to a rep" button the phone transfers to someplace else. Possibly overseas somewhere. They've called from a small town in NE Iowa and from somewhere in Wisconsin and now new jersey.Awhile back I called my credit card company and accused them of selling my number to this guys, they told me they didn't and that they were scammers and under no circumstances should I give them any information. So every once in a while when I have nothing going on I mess with them just to keep them on the line and away from someone else who might fall for their story.
