Calls every day...we do not answer.

Had calls that from this # 2 days in a row that I did not answer. Today I answered- figured they were just going to keep trying cause they obviously did not want to talk to our answering machine.I was told that they use the business info for search engines. Decided to Good this # and came up with this website. Thank you!!!Went to a website that someone had listed that belongs to Info USA. I beieve it was www.listinfousa.com There I learned that they sell our business info. Of course we don't want that! The first person I had I got "disconnected" with after I said we do not want to be on their list! The 2nd person gave me the following info about how to get off the list:Mail: infoUSA, inc. 1020 East 1st St Papillion, NE 68046 Attn: Business Update Department Fax: 402-331-0176 Of course I'm not going to fax our reqeust to get off their list That would be dumb! They'd just have more of our info and we'd be having the fax ring at all ours of the day and night with crazy stuff wasting my ink! Besides it would not be pleasant to have the fax ring at all hours since since we work out of our home. So now to snail mail them. Can't believe I was so stupid as to confirm the info that she had!!! I'm usually more cautious than that and just ask for things in writing and of course most companies don't bother to send you anything snail mail.

Info USA is a data base company. Yahoo.com uses them for their yahoo yellow pages and so do other companies. This is definitly a double edged sword for business owners. If you want to get listed with yahoo YP the info comes from this company but they keep calling big PIA.

Apparently, "Joe", you dont understand that having a database is one thing, but calling and harassing businesses to get it is another. Unless of course, Joe, your business is "Info USA". There's always some meatball who thinks that being obnoxious is the way to go. Please post YOUR business name and address here so us fellow business owners can call and harass you. I have made a ton of money without the scam artists like these and if you did, its because you were to lazy to go out and do the work yourself.

This company has been calling the last few days. The way I resolve this issue now is that the # they call is also forwarded to my cell phone. My cell phone has a program that simply hangs up on banned numbers. It doesn't ring the phone, it simply hangs up on them. If you have a WM5 phone, pay for photo contacts pro as it is worth it to be able to block the numbers compeltely.

received call on my business one at 10:26 am 9/07/07. They did not leave a message, just silence on the voice mail system. Aggravating. glad that I had not answered!

Third call from this number today. Heard ringing each time, so I figured it was some sort of telemarketing scam and I hung up. Caller I.D. shows Omaha, NE

Have received approx 1 call per day for the past 3 days from this number to my cell phone. They have all been "missed calls" on my end, and caller leaves no message. That's all I know - I have not answered it and don't plan to, now that I have read the postings here!

same number 402-930-3659 call me today, i dont answer numbers from other states on my business phone unless i am doing business in a different state, they left no message, the only thing i know is that the number is from Nebraska.

Exactly what directory are they updating?
