I got the same call others have: Caller ID said "Omaha, NE." I had asked for insurance quotes on line, so answered thinking it might be an insurance company. I heard a ringing like I was calling someone and a woman said, "Hello?" I said hello back, and she said, "I'm sorry, I have the wrong number," and hung up.
picked up Woman said I have the wrong #. She called back 5 minutes later same routine
Got a call on my cell phone from the 402-930-3659, even thought I have put my number on the d0-not-call list.
I've had that call as well. How annoying when you have other calls that are more important. I won't give any more information to this number.
I get a call from this number almost every day. It's on my cell phone, which apparently used to be the number for a local bar.I've never answered.
March 22, 2007 12:05pmRecieved call, as with the other, it sounded like I was making a call and a woman answered saying she had the wrong number, a few minutes later got a call on a second line we have, same thing happened
When I answered the call, I heard ringing on the other end. A woman eventually picked up and said "hello?" I asked her if I could help her and she replied, "just checking for disconnected numbers". I'm pretty sure this number has called before in the past asking lots of questions about our business. They have been told not to call here.
We received the two calls from this number yesterday to different phones in our office, including a fax line (which was the first call). With the second call (to a voice line), we answered "Hello", and a woman responded, "I am sorry. I dialed the wrong number." She then hung up. This morning, a different line in our office was called. I answered giving the name of our business. Man responded, "I am sorry. I dialed the same number." He then hung up. It is apparent they are calling numbers to see whether the numbers are active (they apparently don't care whose number it is, because when we answered a simple "Hello", they hung up without asking any questions), and also possibly which phone numbers have fax machines answering.
