Just trying to figure out who is calling from this number and I want them to stop

hey! i worked for a prominent telecom mfgt out of lisle & bolingbrook, plus a few years w ma bell..how do think that your number was gained by these polls and telemarketers? they got your # fromthe list ""PLEASE DON"T CALL ME"". Sad, but true. Makes you wonder why the first telemarketercalling his potential customer was unable to reach Watson,, heh, heh.. Phones are to be used onlywhenever you need to communicate to someone, other than that, be like Watson, turn the damnedthink off so you don't have to listen to it!

Was just called on my cell; didn't answer.

So, this number called me, twice. Each time, it was for different reasons. One was "Gallup" calling for Surveys, and the 2nd was about my bank account.I hung up, quoting as telling them, "Would you give a stranger your sensitive banking information? Don't call here again."If they call again, I am filing a formal complaint to the company for harassment. Anything after that, I will file suit.I'm assume debt collector. They're after alot of people these days, even people who owe nothing.

The number they are calling is one our family has had for over 40 years: ABSOLUTELY NO accounts of ANY kind are associated to that number nor have they ever been. WHY do people feel the need to lie on the forum??? And PS: the correct phrase should be that you "used to work" not "use to work".BOTTOM LINE: You don't recognize a name/number DON'T ANSWER.

I have a non published number because it is a cell. it is on the do not call list and i keep getting calls from this number! how the heck can i block it?

Some sites REQUIRE a phone number before completing their form (such as buying something online). I just put my area code, then 555-1212. Or area code-000-0000. Works every time. Unless I really want to be contacted (such as fraud on my credit card, etc.) I put in the fake number.
