Just got a call from : 404-800-7148. They left a voice mail stating they were affiliated with Home Depot. I called Home Depot's corporate number and they told me this number is not associated with Home Depot. I was informed this is a phishing/scam operation.
I have read the posts here regarding this number. The number 404-800-7148 IS associated with Home Depot. It is NOT a phishing or scam telephone number. The number is associated with Home Depot as an INFORMATION and DELIVERY number. It is a number to find out about your order status with the store, and to confirm with you a delivery date, if you are not picking your item up at the Home Depot Store. It is a legit number. When you call this number it will tell you to call the Home Depot , OR Log on to homedepot myaccount for your latest order status. Normally this message is received within a few minutes of putting your order in, OR received when your order is ready for pick up at the store. I just got another call this morning. Yes, its a 404 prefix phone number which is out of Georgia. Somehow it is connected to Home Depot as a main number for order status. Glad I could clear things up for you. Have a wonderful day. Post Script..........I made one error in my explanation above. :( I said that the number is for confirmation of a delivery date if you are NOT picking up an item you ordered at Home Depot, but it is a confirmation of your order period, whether you are picking your order up, or delivering, either one. :) :)
I don't know who it is but they call my office repeatedly and do not say a word. They just called again and when I hung up they immediately called right back. They did not say anything again. This has been going on for months now. You would think if it was Home Depot they would have the decency to tell you why they are calling.
