Rachel seems to get around with her lower-your-interest rate recorded message. She calls from all kinds of numbers. We don't even have interest rates. We are on the do-not-call list. I hang up.......but wish these calls would stop.

I got one today. Offering lower interest rates. It went to my answering machine.

If you already subscribe to caller ID, get yourself a cordless phone with call blocking capabilities. The newest Uniden systems block calls without your phone ringing at all. I have a Panasonic, but the phone rings once when calls are blocked, also a nuisance. I am toying with paying my landline the seven bucks a month for them to block calls. When they block calls for you, your phone does not ring.

That there was no need to worry as nothing was wrong but this offer was for a limited time. Press 3 to discontinue the calls or press 1 to talk with a live operator. I pressed 1. After a brief pause a lady came on and asked if I had pressed one. "Yes". Did I want to lower my credit card interest. "Sure" She asked my name - I gave her my first name and asked what her name was. All of a sudden silence and the sounds of hanging up on the call even when I tried to re-engage. This will also be reported on the appropriate website to warn others. Hopefully you will have some more arrest and conviction news for us soon????

The calls will not stop. They don't care. The phone numbers are spoofed. They are phishing for information.

Got a "solicitation" from someone claiming to be w/ Children's Leukemia Foundation. The # on my caller id was 407-480-9999They keep trying. I love getting them started talking then letting them talk to my desk top or kitchen table. I just walk away and do whatever I need to be doing. Doesn't seem to take them long to figure out that they're talking to dead air, but must be rather disheartening, and a waste of their dime/time.

You can file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry, and possibly your state's AC office.
