Got a call at 5:54 PM on September 26. Didn't recognize number so I didn't pick up. I'm so thankful for Caller ID but I still resent the interruption to my dinner time or conversation time or quiet evening time!
I hate these people, they are stalkers & WILL NOT go away. The male callers have actually used foul language to my husband.
I got a phone call from this guy. He is a Craigslist scammer. he sometimes goes by the name Valeria Jones. His name traced back to John Jones. Info was forwarded to the feds to do a trick-trac and catch the idiot. Here is other more detailed info on the caller:V093015503401825 (407) 480-9999Apparently using a VOIP system to spoof the phone number.
And in order to report that threat they will have to divulge their identity and location... and that opens them to worse things... I have made the same type of threats and begged/dared them to report me...
I just got my 4th call in 4 days. Pressing 3 doesn't help. Last week I spoke to a rep and was told he couldn't remove me from their list and the best thing to do is to report the calls to the do not call registry. Today I pretended to act interested in what they were saying and spoke to John at client services 1 800 522 5633 was his call back # in case we got disconnected. I dialed that # & got a porn line.
Our son has fun with them . . . when there's someone actually on the line, he will reply with, "Gee, I'm glad you called... I'd like a large pepperoni and black olive with extra cheese. How long will delivery take?" At least he gets a laugh out of it instead of feeling annoyed. :)
But mos of them are automatically generated and blowing a whistle or something loud will not help.
