Can you tell me how you blocked it? I too have been getting calls and today I answered it ( which I usually don't) but wanted them to put me on their DNC ( do not call ) when I pressed 3 nothing happen so I pushed 1 as they requested. The person answered and said you are you ready for a great credit rate and I said no, I just want to be on the DNC list and pressing #3 doesnt work.. he just hung up. UGH so bugged right now. Any info you can provide to block this number will be greatly appreaciated .
407-660-9999 ID name has Robert Kennedy--- this number if you call them back comes out as "number disconnected and no longer in service". Guess they are forwarding to this number.
The caller ID was "Kennedy, Robert". I held the line and asked to be removed from their list. The live operator said "I'm not removing you from sh*t". I said, "Excuse me?". He answered. "I'm not removing you from sh*t." Open your f*ckin' ears."He then hung up.Obviously we are going to pursue this with our state Atty General's office as well as the FTC.
My number was already registered with the Do not Call Directory (www.donotcall.gov/). I tried to call back and got a recorded message "number not in service".The name on the caller ID said Robert Kennedy on one call. Then another call from the very same scam about lowers your credit card debt came in from 407-545-9999 and Caller ID said Florida. I get these type of calls all the time from all different area codes and it's the same scam. They hang up if you ask them to remove your name. The numbers all say "out of service" if you try to call them back.
Someone from this this number calls me every weekday. The ID shows Kennedy, Robert. Sometimes I play along until they ask for charge card numbers. It's fun to ask if they can remain on the line until I get the cards from my purse (then I don't get back to them so they have to pay for additional phone time). Or, I ask what their company name is and they hang up. Today I kept doing redial until their phone rang. Our phone lets the ringing occur for over 4 minutes before it disconnects. This means the scammer cannot use that line until I hang up. If you try this, keep redialing until you do not get a busy signal. Then stay on the line until your phone beeps. The next time they call, I will give a phony name and tell them they have reached the police department--bet they hang up quick!! When I did contact our local police department about these calls, they told me to call the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Agency. I don't know what they could do about them since they change phone numbers a lot--are these legitimate phone numbers for people that the scammers manage to take and show on user IDs? Are these actual phone number accounts that the scammers take out themselves? Who can help us with all this?
The ID indicated the call was from Robert Kennedy. When I asked which credit card was calling, a man came on and said he was with Visa Corporate. I asked why my caller id said "Robert Kennedy" and the fellow on the other end just started making wind & whistling noises! An annoying scam. Been called multiple times by this "special" offer.
