I'm getting calls from this number at least 4 times a day. They leave no message and I can't figure out why the heck they'd be calling so many times. I did a search and got here. Anyone know how to block these people?
quit calling on sunday mornig @ 6:00 AM DO YOU REALY THINK IM GOING TO ANWSER AT THIS TIME ( GET A LIFE )!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Duhppl probably works for Chase, which definetely makes the story behind the calling a little more understandable. And explains why this company is one of the dumbest I've dealt with ever!!
Ok, this is very damn annoying. I have been getting calls from this number and another number multiple times nearly every day. They kept calling about 3 weeks ago, then stopped for a bit, and have started up again.I DON'T EVEN HAVE (NOR EVER HAVE HAD) A [***] ACCOUNT WITH CHASE!!!Next time they call, instead of just ignoring it, I'm answering and I'm saying every single threatening thing I can think of to them just for the hell of it. If they are going to continue to aggravate me, then I'm going to take my aggravation out on those sons of [***].
Everyday for the past month I've been getting a call from 1-407-771-0887 on my cell phone. When I pick up the person on the other line always asks for Lisa. When I do answer I tell them I'm NOT Lisa and that they have the wrong number. They keep calling at 10:30 my time when it's 12:30p.m. their time. When I call they ask for my account # and I hang up. I don't know why they keep calling when I've repeatedly told them they have the wrong number. I want to scream.
Its from Chase Bank, you probably are late on a payment. If you don;t have an account with them, call chase or write them to cease calls
I get these calls also. I'm about late them and another card. The other bank actually called me and tried to settle. What I've noticed is that after repeated failed calls, someone from another department of the bank will eventually call and leave a message, pretty nice message, something like this "we understand that you are going thru some financial hardship, but you have been a valuable customer and we still want to continue business with you. We have a few options we will like to discuss with you. Please call back at xxx.xxx.xxxx to discuss these options. This means that they want to settle or provide you easier options to pay. First option is a reduced payment, no more interest accruals. Second option is about a 30 percent repayment in 92 days. I took the latter cuz it helps me get out fast. Short term, i will be broke, but after 92 days, u r done and if i'm not mistaking, they put something not too bad on ur report....so it's ur choice.
I have been getting calls from 407-771-0887 for the past few days, starting early in the mornings (8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, even); if I do not make it to the phone in time to answer (because I am ASLEEP), no message is left on my machine. I tried calling back the number finally, and was greeted by a message which says the call is being monitored or recorded (never mind that I do not consent to as much). I spoke with a woman who identified herself as "Betty," and the first thing she did was ask for my account number, which I refused to provide, instead asking her for the reason for the many calls. (If your bank really needs to get a hold of you for anything important, it will notify you in writing.)She tried to tell me that the calls are usually regarding late payments on a credit card--except I don't have a Chase credit card, per se, because I only use my bank card and pay for items or services directly from my checking account, and if there is no money (or not enough) in my account, then I don't use it until there is; it is impossible, therefore, for me to be late on a payment because I have never even had a bill to pay in all the time I have had the account with Chase Bank. Then she tried to feed me some B.S. about how maybe someone else in my household had provided the number to them for a reference (also not possible, unless my cats have somehow mastered applications), or that someone who had lived here previously--maybe even as far back as 30 years ago (!)--might have this phone number, as if that even makes sense. I informed "Betty" that I would be calling the bank's 800 number and reporting the calls and the nature of our conversation; DO NOT SURRENDER ANY INFORMATION TO THIS NUMBER.Last year, I had a call from a number which also identified itself as my bank, and the caller ID name said it was, although the phone number was not familiar. I called the bank, and the bank had assured me it was NOT one of their numbers (new technology permits caller ID fraud), and reported the number and the calls to the FBI.
I've been getting calls from this number for two days straight! They won't leave a message and if I answer, they refuse to identify themselves. My account is up-to-date so I don't know why they are calling, especially sooooooooo many times!
Live below your means... wow, now there's an insightful thought. Really. They call me 10 times a day...and yes...i lived above my means and I DO owe them. I hate to file bankruptcy but I'm doing it.... Need to start over and be better this time. I will strive to live below my means. In the meantime, I will be a part of the problem before becoming part of the solution. I can't wait to live on cash only and stop being part of the problem!
