Yes, they call me too. What's the most annoying part is, they are all calling from India with English names like Robert or Mark or Mary!!! This is why Americans are losing their jobs. They are being shipped overseas to 'Sundar' & 'Rattandeep', I mean Robert & Mary, for less than what we've made. Then Chase has the nerve to kick our interest rates to 30% and blitz us with phone calls when times are tough. Most times, their caller ID is listed as 'Unknown'. And don't get me started on them spending our money on naming rights on the baseball stadium in Phoenix.
I am receiving about 25 calls a week from Chase about credit cards which I do owe. I have explained my situation to them about 10 times (unemployed, over 65, disabled wife etc..) and they make note of this and then call me again about an hour later. What can I do to stop this non-sense? I have explained my situation in detail about plans to pay but they want their money NOW. Want to know if I can contact my family members, friends or anyone where I can get the money. Get a third mortgage. These people are now not getting their phone calls answered. They are without morals!
I have recieved many non stop phone calls from this number. IT IS A SCAM!!!! People are just trying to get your information. Don't answer.
Disaster at work = 20%+ pay cut. My choice boils down to: 1. pay the rent and take care of my special needs 7 year old. 2. pay my credit cards.
They start the day off with multiple calls and it provides the motivation I need to tell them to F off. I will never pay a dime to Chase because of these harassing calls. Since my life is nearing an end I care very little if a company that does business in this way ever gets what is owed them from me. I have several other overdue accounts with other companies and because they treat me with respect I am resolving all debt with them.
I do not have a Citibank credit card, and yet I keep getting calls from these psychos - NO one is ever at the other end.But since last week, three times when I was on the telephone, talking to a friend, I got this loud, continuous series of BEEPS on the phone call. It hurt my ear, so I looked at the phone. The caller ID showed THIS number as if they had broken into the phone line! They didn't; the friend on the other end of the line did not hear the noise.Does anyone know what the hell this is? Can these freaks break into my phone line while I'm on a phone call with loud beeps, and then have the phone number display on my caller ID.
I received a call from this number a couple time but never answered. When I finally called back they said that it was Chase and immediately asked for my account number. The guy on the other end was quite rude for no reason. I told the guy if there was an issue then I would check with my local branch than give personal info over the phone. I called the Chase Bank number that I normally call for business and they notified me my accounts were in good standing order and that if they did call they would not try and extract personal info from their customers much like the guy at the number in the subject line tried to do.
Nice thought, but the FDCPA doesn't apply to the original creditor, only collection agencies or other 3rd party agents acting to collect a debt. Don't bother with doing that if it's your original creditor who is calling you; it will have no effect.A better approach would be to call them and make some sort of arrangement. I mean, they're calling because you owe them money. If they owed you money you'd be calling them, right?
They called today, and I actually picked up. The caller ID says "Chase". They asked for me by name, and I asked who was calling and the girl, who spoke perfect English I might add, just says "Card Member Services".This is not Chase, it's not B of A, it's not any legitimate company whatsoever people.Wake... Up! It's a pure scam to get information from you over the phone.
