Received three calls around 8 this morning and three more about an hour and a half later from this number. The first three calls were the same, "if you were expecting..." calls, the next three came in on callwave and no message was left. If someone's spoofed ebay's phone number, which it looks like they have for at least some of the calls, I don't know what they hope to gain from this... unless they just want to make people angry.
This is the number the eBay uses to call to verify that you have changed your password and to provide you with a pin # to proceed. If you didn't try to change your password on eBay, then someone else did - could be a family member or it could be someone trying to hack your account. It's not a "scam" number by any means. Just be aware that someone, somewhere, was trying to access your eBay account, or it could be as simple as someone entered their phone # incorrectly. They recently called me because I *DID* change my password.
After clicking on there e mail , I quickly received a phone call about this password change . I would not click on that link that was sent . I went into my e bay account and my old password still works. I'm trying to contact e bay , but they don't care .
Recv in the UK. Certainly wasn't an expected call - but no probs, as I think it's a phone spoofing check
