Received call at 3am EST, message said if you are expecting this call, press 8. Had also received 2 calls several hours earlier from similar number with similar message.
Who ever keeps repeating "this is real, guys", "this is from Ebay", is full of crap! And, you are most probably part of the scam that is occurring in order to encourage those who are skeptical to "go ahead and do it, it's okay." This may be a registered number at Ebay, but it is NOT Ebay. It may state that it is Ebay when you call back, but it is not! The number they called on mine IS NOT a listed contact number for me and never has been. So, most typically they are searching in the same manner that I know how to search. They are looking at names, discovering further information, matching your information and calling a non-listed number in order to SCAM anyone who is listed on Ebay. I had NO notifications for ANYONE to contact me, that I had initiated myself. If I want any information, I contact Ebay, they don't contact me. I have changed my password and they DO NOT call me. When I initially set up the account is when they called me, there has been NO OTHER time that they have called me. Officially, I look forward to the day you get caught, it's only a matter of time. You wake me up at 3 A.M. AGAIN, AND I'LL PERSONALLY ASSIST ENDING YOUR STUPID LITTLE GAME!!! :(
I got this call too. Even though it's a real ebay number, it is a FAKE call!!! What happens us that, with VOIP, anyone can pretend to be any number they want. Crooks and scammers from abroad have started abusing this to scam people in huge numbers. Beware NOT to give any info or follow any directions. I wish our law enforcement would make this a priority.
I received a call from this number. I've had no eBay transactions in months, so this was definitely not a call I should have received.
Got this call at 1:30 AM. I didnt' answer, it left voicemail, but all that came from it was "Press 7" How is the best way to STOP this call?? I have never sold anything on EBay and also haven't been on my acct on well over 2 yrs!!! So do they stop calling after awhile? Even if it is from the Scammers?
