They're with a so-called affordable health insurance company. I never visited any health insurance website, I gave nobody permission to call.I saw a bunch of people's comments saying this is a legitimate number for Google. So, I answered the third time they called me today. I can tell you this number is absolutely not Google!!
I just got 3 messages and a phone call from San Jose, CA all within 1 minute. I responded I don't understand Spanish, now I'm worried my phone number will be used.
Receiving random messages (sounds like the old Yahoo musical commercials) from 408 610-4900. Also receiving text messages trying to reset Yahoo Account Key
Received call and voice message after getting text message telling me my "Yahoo Verification Number" which I never asked for... never dealt with Yahoo before.
Received 5 text messages with my Google verification code even though I didn't request it. Then after 5 minutes I received 3 calls from this number. After the second call I got a text with a verification code from Yahoo. Again something that I didn't request.
I still think this is fishy. When I went to log into my Yahoo email account this morning it popped up a screen that said they had detected questionable activity on my account and that I needed to either email or call for a verification code. The screen was very confusing. I clicked "call" and my cell phone rang immediately with the caller ID showing South San Francisco. I did not answer. Gave it a few minutes and was able to log into my Yahoo account without any problem. If this really is Yahoo, they need a better system.
