I missed a call from these clowns, but after reading the board, It didn't should like I missed much, I'm In Montana.
I'm in South Dakota- just got call from 409-123-4567. Male id himself as an employee who worked on behalf of Visa and Mastercard looking to reduce my interest rates. When asked, male who refused employee id and gave the co name as Cardmember Services....when I said that was a generic term used for a credit card call center and that every legit company has assigned id for their employees he totally went on the offensive... think was speaking to off shore site by his accent and attitude definately calls there are not "recorded for training and quality assurance purposes". I told them I was not interested, advised him I was on the National Do Not Call Registry and he hung up on me. Not 10 mins later I got a call from 212-777-3455 male sd sorry our call got cut off...and tried again to continue previous attempt. I told him I am on the National Do Not Call Registry and he hung up........
From South Dakota - my husband and I have each received calls from this bogus number. We don't answer numbers we don't know so no message. Just what kind of scam is this anyway?
I received a call to my cell phone from this number, today. The call is to offer a 6.99% interest rate on my current Visa or MasterCard. The caller doesn't appear to be in the US and would not disclose the name of the company or details of the product. I would have to provide my information to obtain this. I asked who gave my consent to call a cell phone, by a dialer for telemarketing purposes, he stated Experian did! I asked how he even knew whether I had a Visa or MasterCard and he stated Experian did. He further stated that they are working with Experian. This is all very illegal and I highly doubt that Experian is tied to this or that they are even aware that calls are being made. There are several laws in place to prevent automated calls to cell phones for the purpose of telemarketing when proper consent has not been given. They must also provide meaningful disclosure as to who they are.
Number calls me constantly and doesn't leave messages. I don't answer because 123 is not a phone prefix. It would be great if this caller were penalized and the number put out of service.
