Receiving numerous calls. Would like to be removed from their calling list as they have been blocked

They pretend to be lawyers and say you have a "note with a merchant" then go into how you going to jail and your being sued.

Please note that this suspicious number 123-4567 is being used with multiple area codes. 409 is the primary code for Beaumont and southeast Texas, but they are also spoofing area code 214 (one of the Dallas codes) followed by 123-4567.

Same thing. (409) 123-4567. I attempted a callback, and it said invalid number

Just got a call from this number. I'm in SD

Got this call on my cell phone in South Dakota at around 1:30 pm today. I did not answer and they did not leave a voicemail. My husband received a similar call last week from a lady with a thick Asian accent purporting to be from Capital One who had his account information and said she was going to lower his interest rate to 6.99%. I've never heard of such a great deal so I called them to confirm and found out that Capital One does NOT contact their cardmembers via phone to extend such offers (nor do they offer 6.99% on their cards) so I asked them to place a fraud monitoring on both his and my cards. Somehow, this person had his information and knew that I also have a Capital One card (separate accounts). I'll be monitoring my card usage closely from now on!
