I am answering their surveys and it is an honest and reputable place. They send me money in cash and now I am doing another survey and will receive $30 in two weeks. I just write down what radio stations I tune in to daily for one week and that's it. Try it. It buys a few drinks and a few gallons of gas and takes no time at all. Minutes of your time.
Suckers! On Saturday, my spouse sifted through the mail & then handed it all unopened to me. I saw a letter from Arbitron. I swear I instantly thought, "let there be money." We were expecting a medical reimbursement check, but I'd never heard of Abitron. I opened it, whereas usually I shred that kind of junk. Saw a letter that I didn't read but just saw the words radio survey or something similar. But behind the letter wasa real, crisp $1 bill. So of course I pocketed that before putting the letter in the shred pile. 4 days later, just now, I just got a call from Arbitron, but they hung up before my spouse could answer the phone. Good thing as I am not sure $5-40 is worth the harassing phone calls even though money is tight. I wouldn't mind answering a short survey, preferably by snail mail, if they wouldn't harass me with junk mail or phone calls, but once they know someone is alive at his house or number, all bets are off. But you can be dang sure I will open all mail from Arbitron just to see if I receive any more bills.
This is in fact a number for Arbitron Ratings. When they called me tonight, it was 2 or 3 minutes to 9:00pm. When I asked the "gentleman" on the line if he realized it was almost 9:00 at night he said "well I'm in Texas." I said "I don't care where you are, I'm on the East Coast trying to get ready for bed because I have a job that doesn't require harassing people. Good-bye." and hung up. No apology. I don't even call my friends at 9:00 p.m. I can't believe a company would think it was okay. Hoping they don't call again.
The company name is "Arbitron Ratings". I took their Radio+TV survey and they send me money for participating. I signed up for additional surverys and they promised me more money. Let's see...
So I am disabled and a day sleeper and get these annoying followup calls at different hours, mostly when I am on my oxygen and trying to sleep. The I get another call from the third world it seemed and I swear I couldn't understand the dude...asking me questions in what seemed a heavy anglo-wogi clipped phrase Gujarati dialogue word salad.I almost lost it completely.Privacy matters folks.I wish I felt better to fight back...ask for 20 books for my household...skew their results like hell and then send the diaries back in, or just vote for all of your fav stations outlandishly.May as well Vote for Trump: someone who actually you want to listen to!
Chris (you jerk)You're right we don't care about your inability to find meaningful employment, or what you are willing to do avoid physical labor (a real job). Wow! and people wonder where the German’s found so many people willing to man the ovens at all those concentration camps during WWII. You think, what ever you decide to do should be tolerated by others, even though it interferes with our right to privacy (you must be from Canada).
These people have called me repeatedly in the past few weeks, sometimes late at night. I have REPEATEDLY asked to be removed from their list, and they continue to call. It happened just a few minutes ago, and the woman replied that they would "call back later." I didn't say I didn't want to do it right now, I said, "I don't want to do your surveys. I'm tired of you calling me. Take me off your list!" I have since emailed the company asking what I had to do to get taken off their list. Have no idea if that will help or not as while this company seemed to be good about removing a number on request in the past, by the comments here, they no longer are. It doesn't matter whether they're doing surveys and paying $1 or $1,000,000,000,000,000. If I don't want them calling me and I don't want to do their survey, they should STOP.
I recently did some mail-in surveys, but they always call at inopportune times, like in the middle of the workday, or 9-10pm at night. I don't answer. So far, they haven't left any messages or called in a timeframe that works, so I haven't made any money off it yet.
I got a call from this number and didn't pick up since I didn't know whom it was. I called the number back and spoke to some man and told him not to have this number call me anymore. He asked for my phone number and I gave it to him and he said he removed it from their list and they wont call me anymore.
