If I pick up, the other end immediately hangs up. This number calls almost every day. If I let the machine get it, the other end hangs up on the answering machine.

After many months of receiving their calls I'd reached the end of my tether. When they called again I answered but said nothing until I heard her speak. I then said that I was recording the call and that if they dared to call again I'd not only report them to the FCC but also their local newspaper and police force - I would seek charges for harassment and would then sue them for mental and emotional cruelty. I haven't heard from them since...

Please do your duty and order that this company stop there daily annoyance calling

So I've been receiving calls about credit card consolidation (number 253-245-4798). They call about once a week (often switching numbers), although today they called twice. A while back I started playing with them (yes, I'm interested, here is my bogus cc number, etc.) to see how long I could keep them on the line (7 minutes is my record, okay I need a life). Well, I got a guy who got annoyed I gave him a fake cc number. He threatens to "put me back in the system." I reply with I'm already in your system. He says, "Expect a call in 1 hour." About 1 1/2 hours later I get a call from Pub Interest CM with the number 412-622-7386.Maybe just a coincidence, but the two are likely connected. I think they use this number simply for harassment purposes.

Did any of you recently surf for audio books, kindles, etc.?I did and that is when I started receiving these stupid, annoying calls.

Most recently, when caller ID shows a firm or company and a number that does not look familiar, I take passive-aggressive action of picking up, then holding the "#" down for about 10 seconds. I have tried calling back and asking to be removed from call lists, but few have done as I asked. I'm tired of being 'nice' about it. I have re-submitted my data to the 'do not call' sites, but that doesn't seem to consistently resolve these problems.
