The DO NOT CALL list is probably how they got our phone numbers. I did that too and keep getting calls from these people.
I received a call from this number yesterday. My response was to do a Google search on the phone number. I found out that it is a scam. Please tske care of it.
After realizing that the Do Not Call List is a poor joke at best, I decided to block all numbers and then unblock numbers of people that I wish to talk with. The unwanted calls have dropped from 8 to 12 numbers to 1 or 2 numbers per day. All numbers are logged so I look them up at my convenience. I miss the days that when the phone rang it was somebody you wished to talk with or a wrong number.
In keep getting calls for a cruise and I am on the do not call listThe number was 414-232-5011
Caller left no voicemail message. Caller ID does not identify caller. Call appears to come from Wisconsin. I don't know anyone in Wisconsin. I have blocked this number.I am on the federal Do Not Call list and my phone number is unlisted. Even so, I receive anonymous phone calls like this one almost every day. Some callers call me up to three times in a minute, yet don't leave a message. Why do they bother?
Got a call from these scabs at 9:00 AM. My phone is blocked by Verizon. It is such a shame that all of us have to suffer, not allowing calls to come through, because of these bottom feeders. I see there are 17 pages of complaints. Why doesn't the government just check 800 Notes and go from there. How many people are not writing here!!! This is an epidemic of pain in the butt calls.
These are people doing illgeal things that do not follow the rules put in place by the Do Not Call policy. The best thing to do is not answer a call from a number you do not recognize. You can always research the number later and block them from contacting you again on your smart phone if they turn out to be scammers. The FCC likely has systems in place to monitor these types of forums; just keep posting when you recieve one of these calls. If you have an iPhone:1. Press the little "i" with a circle around it on calls like this that you know are scams2. Scroll down3. Press Block this caller
