Picked up the call. Claimed to be from Scotiabank offering life insurance. After her speech about the benefits, she asked me to confirm my date of birth (which I didn't do). Firmly told her I wasn't interested.

OPTIMUM COMMUNICATIONS

Claimed to be from Scotia Bank as well, and offered insurance on mortgage and LOC. I said I was going to think about it and call back Scotia, but the agent refused and said he could only be the one contacting me, not the other way around. I then said I wasn't interested then. I blocked their number on my phone.

I have been getting a call everyday for the last week or so and at times, like today twice.I do not answer but if I did and there was someone there I would say just hang on one second and then set the phone down and leave it be until they hang up. Or ask for his/her home phone number as I am busy and will call them back later.Annoying as heck that is for sure. I am in Saskatchewan and the call comes from Ontairio.

Called my cell number? Weird because only a few know that number. I didn't answer because I could hear my phone ringing ,but didn't get to it in time.

Reading further on this is interesting... I'm worried because I bank with ATB and for them to have a call centre out of Ontario for their marketing purposes does not make me happy. :/ I'm used to having them call out of Calgary, not Ontario. I do not answer calls from other countries or provinces unless I know who the person is.Augh, annoying!I'll answer it next time and update on who it is 100% in my circumstance.
