They call my phone once every 3 days, usually just before 5 pm. I do not answer it as I know that it is a telemarketer. I just signed up for the do not call list so we will see if they respond. I am located in Moncton ,NB and do not have any dealings with ATB or Manulife.
call the customer service at 416-581-1236 and politely ask to be added to the do not call list. Just worked for me perfectly. cheers
My husband answered the phone and the voice on the other end said that it was very important that they speak to me regarding my American Express Card. He asked for their number and they said "never mind" they'd call back. But the number showed on my call display (416-313-4982) and when I call them back I get a voice recording saying they are Optoma Communications International. If I received a call from their office they apologize for the inconvenience, and requested that I leave a detailed information in a message."In other words, they want you to call back with a message saying:"Hi, you called my home about my American Expresscard. The number is xxxxxx, I live at xxxx. My name is >>> and my phone is ????" - then they have personal informationI'll be contacting Amex to advise
It Work! Call the number and they WILL remove your name.....and get this: they even appologize for being an inconvenience to you! So call Optima at 1-416-581-1236, press "0" for the operator.PS.: This company is NOT the Optima associated with Shoppers Drugmart.
I also get calls from 416-313-4982 to my personal number and my business 800 number. I answer and they hang up. Really ticks me off. I called the number back and a recorded man's voice said they were Optima International. I called 1-416-581-1236 and TOLD them to generally f**k off. Told them to take my numbers off there list. I'll have to wait and see if this has any effect. I also am in Alberta. Thank you all!
