A call came from this number to my elderly mother, the caller stated she won a prize and needed her credit card numbers to cover the shipping. Wisley she hung up
Hi all - just figured it out - I kept getting these calls where no one answered (crank calls) - I got sick of it and dialed *69 so that the phone company (bell) would give me the phone number that last called so I could call back and give them a piece of my mind. The number was 416-589-0379 - I picked up the phone, mashed in the numbers to give them a good tongue lashing and lo and behold the number is not in service!!!! What the F$@K! I thought - so I tried again and the same thing!! I then called Bell Canada, hell bent on reporting this harassmant - After about 20 minutes on hold, I received the answer of - we cant help you the number is not registered, blah blah blah. I was mad, so I went on line and found this website. Guess what. After reading the comments I figured out what happened. My parents are in FLorida and bought some of the Presidents Choice cheap long distance rate long distance phone card thingys and were using this to call me from Florida - unfortunately due to some unknown reason the phone they were calling from would not let me hear them. It all makes sense. When you see the 416 number it is probably from someone you do know that is using a long distance calling card - I dont know if it has to be a Presidents Choice brand one, but that is the one that my parents called. When I called them back on their Florida cell with my own Presidents Choice call, my dad asked me why I was calling them from 416-589-0379 - Mystery Solved!!!!

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
