i just got a call from 416 589 0379. not a real number but prob a calling card . no worries!!
i live in winnipeg, but my boyfriend is currently in new brunswick. This number always shows up every time he calls. He's been using a Pc calling card.
Bell calling card is usually 514 not 416 but go figure. Bot sales pitch about "free" cruise.
Got a call from TORONTO 416-589-0379 12:39 am Jul 20, 2012. I didn't answer - Caller left no message.
@Pattsy I wouldn't worry about it, it seems any call to Europe routed through Bell will display that number or very similar. Most if not all overseas calls out of Canada are handled by Bell at some point so it could be from anyone.
I got a call from this number and did not answer as I did not recognize the number. It was someone I know and we both live in the 519 area code. I think he was using a magic jack with a 416 (Toronto) number.
@JJR the guy who called you was using a calling card or a disposable cell phone from Bell, it doesn't necessarily mean he was a scammer, only that he was using a card/phone issued in Canada, where Ma Bell is still called Bell (formerly Bell Canada now just Bell). The company issues millions of prepaid cards, one finding its way to Phoenix is not unlikely. Maybe the guy was on a trip to Canada recently, or is a Canadian living in Phoenix, whatever.BTW Toronto is in Ontario not Quebec. Montreal is in Quebec. Calls using Bell cards usually trace back to one of those two cities, maybe the trace bot got confused.
April 29, 2011Got a call from this # from co. calling themselves Western Info. Display Ltd. selling ad space for a "new" ad board that will be put up at a specific auction mart near us. We checked with that auction mart (because it's the one we use sometimes) and they do not have anyone selling ad space for them nor do they want a new board - they already have an old ad board they are trying to get rid of. SO, It's a SCAM. We are in Alberta & what first made us suspicious was an Ontario license plate on the vehicle they were driving.

called and then hung up, left him a kurt voicemail about wasting peoples time. scammers are prevalent, be careful and don't answer this call

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
