This outfit calls continuously. The message starts off by thanking me for being a prior subscriber to the Toronto Star and wants to offer me "the deal of the century" by taking the Sunday Star and getting the rest of the week tossed in for free. When I tell them that I do not want that left-wing rag in my house, then they start trying to sell me on the Toronto Sun. That's when I hang up on them. There should be a way of blocking calls from these numbers but Bell Canada, as well as all the rest of the VOIP's are gutless.
get these calls everyday, we just don't answere them when we see the name NCC. They never leave a message either. It's very frustrating!
I agree with you. We don't stop to think that these are people just trying to look after themselves and possibly a family. It's a tough economy and people take whatever job is offered them, or live on welfare. And you know how highly thought of people on benefits are in this country. These kind of calls are avoiding so let call display do what you pay for it to do; screen your calls and don't pick up.
I just called 1-416-630-6658 got a LIVE person, ask to be removed from the calling list, she said that it would be done.
I got a call first from 416-493-1965, then later 416-630-5150. When I picked up the first call it just hung up. I think it is an autobot that is trying to leave a message.Complain About a Telemarketing Call through "National Do Not Call List"Things you should know before filing a complaint To file a complaint you will need: •Your phone number (where the call was received)•The name or phone number of the telemarketer•The date you received the call You can complain about any call you received that violated an Unsolicited Telecommunications Rule (e.g. National DNCL Rules, Telemarketing Rules, or Automated Dialing-Announcing Device Rules). Oh, we're all supposed to sit back and "go to our calm place" when telemarketers continually make their annoying calls? We, the annoyed, are supposed to have empathy and understanding for the poor, misunderstood telemarketer. Yeah! Right! Is anyone holding a gun to the telemarketers heads and forcing them to work in a "boiler room?" NO! They chose to work there. There's an old phrase that says, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Anyone taking a telemarketer job thinking that they will get any thanks, or respect, for calling us is obviously naive beyond belief or has come here from another planet. Please, tell me that even telemarketers aren't THAT stupid!I have as much concern for those who "are just doing their jobs" as they have for those they are calling, and annoying, repeatedly. It's a simple case of cause and effect, when I receive annoying calls, they cause me to be rude to the callers. Simple solution to those telemarketers with thin skin and are hurt by my nasty reaction...don't call! Get a real job, unless of course, you do enjoy annoying people and getting verbal daggers thrown at you on a routine basis.
I, too, am receiving calls from this number.I work nights, so it is very annoying.I did not answer, as I don't answer calls from unknown numbers or names I don't recognize.
Seems that the "Do Not Call List" is a waste of ink and paper. There are numerous domestic telemarketing call centers that DO NOT FIT into the allowable call categories ...duct cleaning business in Toronto being one of them ...and they must hire at the incoming lounge at Pearson airport! Repeated complaints to the DNC authority and the calls just keep coming.
