I recieved a call from a guy named "Dino Holman" I believe...he called to let me know I had won a trip for $139 to come stay at their resort within the year for 3 days, 2 nights. I listened to him talk for almost 30 minutes...then at the end he tried to collect the $139 by phone by credit card or check. I'm sorry but I do not know you and there is no way I would give someone a credit card or a check over the phone. Yes, I did sign up to win the car at a show, which is fine and dandy but that's all I want, to win the car, I didn't sign up to win all these extra vacations. He got upset when I said I didn't have that much money at the moment and he asked then why did I go through the whole phone call with him...I told him he never said I had to pay today, he asked when I expected to pay...I said, when I take the trip, obviously. Because like he said 1000x in the 30 mins he rambled on..."Millionaires don't fill out these cards." So I have bills to pay that are more important at the time being...but I guess since you're impatient and today is the only time the offer is good then you just lost a customer. And I would think these kind of advertizement would be bad for the company, not good. And I hardly think a "5 star resort" would be calling people to try and get them to come stay at their resort with all these free amenties. Sorry, just sounds too good to be true....
Received call today at home, my Husband took the call & then called me all excited about this "Discount Vacation Package." I did some checking & found all kind of complaints with Stormy Point Village. When they called me at work, because only 30 people will get this deal & you have only until 3 PM to accept it, I asked about the complaints I had found. The salesman put the "Floor Supervisor" on the phone & he explained to me that they book thousands of vacation package to Branson each year & that the BBB has only 100 complaints filed against them & in his opinion that is pretty good odds. They expect me to give them my credit card # or they will do a check over the phone. I'm not giving anybody this information over the phone that has as many complaints filed against them, as I found. If you are legitimate, I should be able to pay when I book my vacation. They said I have a year to take this vacation, so they should have no problem waiting until I arrive to pay for this fantastic vacation.
Tmust be a telemarketer for Branson. I don't want long distance calls from anyone of this nature.
I've found a very effective way to get rid of LEGITIMATE telemarketers who call a zillion times a day and ignore all requests to stop: I go to their Facebook site and post a complaint on their wall. That works because legitimate companies don't like negative publicity. I've gotten rid of 3 that way so far.Unfortunately, though, there are more scammers than legitimate companies and scammers don't have facebook pages. Scammers also have fake caller IDs, which makes the "do not call" list worthless.
I received a call from this number. No voice message was left, so I just deleted this number off my call log.
