I just got my first exsperinse with this so called company they can't even answer the phone right when they answer is yeh I dill with my creditors personally if some one can't give you the carect info on some thing don't give them nothing I run a business call me I'll answer yah and then give me money

"Kyle West" called my home # and was like, "hi, Liz?"...like I knew him. I said "ummm....nooo". He wanted to know why she would give him this # if it wasn't hers. I told him it is, but that doesn't mean someone else can't answer it. Then he went on to say that she told him it was her cell and he wanted to know if that was true or if it was her home #. I asked what all this was in regards to and he said "personal business". Hmmm....would an outstanding debt be personal? He seemed very unprofessional and tried to make himself sound like an old friend or something. I googled it and found this, I'm glad to know he's just an unprofessional idiot from a questionable "agency". Next time he calls I will give him a # to a pay phone and tell him it's her new cell. :)

Sheri called, wanted "Tom". When I called back they mumbled something incoherent when they answered and wouldn't speak after that, they eventually hung up.I'm sure it is a scam, as I don't owe anybody. They are probably scam artists posing as a collection agency.

I received this call at my workplace, and I do not know the number. When I googled it, this site helped me identify debt collection. I am unsure of a debt, and these people cannot jeapordize your job by calling you at work!

A computer keeps calling 3 or more times a week asking for George. There is no George here and when I call the number to tell them that all it will do is ring and ring! 1-417-627-7990 I supect they are tring to con people in to paying or buying somthing! It's mid america collections out of Joplin, MO

Received a call from this place on my cell.My family member answered my cell, and this guy went into attack mode!-we have been making payments directly, and regularly to the creditor (medical bill), and they have forwarded our payments to this collection agency, Mid America Accounts in Joplin, MO. My family member gave my cell phone to me, and I said hello, and the man on the other end said his name was "DJ" so I simply asked him how he came to call my cell number. This little sawed off jerkweed went off on me like you wouldn't believe, telling me to put my family member on the phone because he liked them better than he liked me,(because I guess I wouldn't take his abuse laying down) and if I didn't, well, he just wouldn't accept our payment (tell that to the courts buddy-we are making regular payments, maybe not as much as you'd like, which affects your big old fat commission, but we are paying) anyway, he finally calmed down, and we told him how much we would pay, and when, and all was ok (at least then it was) so we sent another payment to them (Mid america) directly, and they have called over and over again (and they have received the payment) I am going to send them a letter, registered, return receipt requested, and ask them not to call us anymore. We are keeping our end of the bargain, we just don't want to talk to them anymore. The law says THEY can call you. The law also says that WE do not have to tolerate THEIR abuse and harassment. I'd say 8 calls in one day pretty much constitutes harassment.

Just recieved a call from this number and when I answered the gal acted as if she knew me. I am so sick of these rude hatefull and decieving callers. I wish they would take note and care about there coonsumers. If I could pay the stupid 2,000 bill dont u think I would have by now. Geez and u dont know me or my situation. How do I get these blasted devils to stop calling?

I received a call from this number my granddaughters cell. I gave her the phone for her birthday. The man asked for a friend of mine as though he knew her personally. When she lived with me she gave this number when looking for work. I didnt recognize the number but for that reason I answered it. Since she moved I thought perhaps she is looking for work??? I had to ask his name and to take a message which honestly I have no idea how to contact her as thats been more than a year ago. Charles White he tells me. I then asked what it was about "well its a business matter". Oh now I know its a collector and its not for me or my granddaughter. I traced the call to Midwest Collections? in Joplin MO. I didnt bother to tell him she doesnt live here because it would start a questioning that I dont want to bother with. I just hung up. It never stops them anyway, they keep calling even when you tell them to stop calling this number. I have used the DO NOT CALL CELL and still get calls that are not for me.
