Calls from this number are coming from a collection agency, or at least I am assuming so based on the tone of the caller's voice. The woman who called said her name was Shannon and left some sort of file number. The only problem is that I no longer have any debts since declaring bankruptcy nearly 7 years ago, needless to say this call caught me by surprise. Don't know what they're up to, but they definitely want to get you to send them money.
I got the same sort of message as MarleyMan only she mentioned my e-mail address and said it was of a personal nature??? Said she was from CRV what ever that is.
Yes they called me and i asked to speak to a supervisor and i was switchted to a lady @ -419-517-0034 and said i did credit card fraud and they were calling the police unless i send them money by tomorrow!!!Stay away from these females as they call and lure you into paying them ..They are a ficticious collection Agency! They have no proof but expect you to just send moneySpoke to a couple of lawyers tell them to STOP CALLING OR YOU WILL SUE!
The same thing happend to me as officer Joe. Dont fall for it. They will ask for your credit card number and home address. 419-517-0034i will call the local police and my credit card company about this imposter
I just got the same call but, mine was for phone charges I never made. My phone company doesn't have anything outstanding. She changed her name to Joy Martin for me. My bill was $374.70 and I had to pay with my credit card NOW or my credit agencies will be notified. She didn't know my address but, said she can get it in seconds. I also called the police today. I had to pull teeth to get any info out of her such as account number or the billing company who says I owe.
I just got the same call and the call came in Name Withheld on my caller ID. When I listened to the message it said they were calling from CRV for an outstanding dept and gave me a number and a reference number. Don't you think if it was legitimate they would not have withheld the number and said what the debt was for???I always pay my bills on time so I have no idea what this is about!
I had the same. I read everyones comments before I called. I asked her what type of fraud had happended on my accounts and how did she know this info when I had not been contacted by my bank or the police. She then said " I didn't say fraud had happened I said we investigate fraud." She tried very hard to get my personal info, for expample my cell nubmer my address and my banks name. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she was very over the top rude Lauged and said " good luck with that." and hung up on me. It 's puzzling since I have no credit cards, and only debt I owe is on my home. I am also on the National Do Not Call list.
I got a letter from CRV about a month ago signed by a man claiming to be an account rep... when I returned the call I got his v-mail which indicated he was the "corporate security manager". I left a message threatening legal action since it was obvious it was a fraudalent claim. Joy Martin returned the call and indicated that they had no record of the account- go figure! Joy Martin called my home phone today trying to do her thing... but I knew exactly what she was up to and confronted her. She hung up on me. I hope she forgets who I am (again) and calls back!
Ms. Martin just called my cell saying something about activity on my phone line. How do these people get away with this crap? She didn't even know my name first of all, and second my phone carrier is AT&T and I'm pretty sure if there was a problem, they would be calling me, not little Ms. Martin!
I am getting mysterious calls from 419--517-0034. I found this blog and discovered that these scammers send many messages and letters in the States. I live in Montreal, which is Quebec in Canada. This is clearly a scam now moving up to Canada. The call is from OHIO where I have never ever been. So Canadians. Beware! We are next!
