This number keeps calling me non stop. They leave no messages and when I first answered the phone they wanted personal information , which I did not give . Do not answer the phone for this number !

I received a call from the "Citibank Fraud Early Warning Department" saying that they saw suspicious activity on my Visa card. I was to call them back with my Visa account number and 3 digit code and to call them at either the telephone number on the back of the card or at 866-517-5347. The funny thing is that they said the call was for John E- (redacted) which is not my name.

Some people here said this is a scam. For me it isnt. I got a call from them that are for Commercial Home Depot Credit. I recently applied for this and they just wanted me to verify a few things. So this is NOT a scam

Sister got a call from her phone. They asked to speak to me about my Citi Mastercard. The Indian operator asked for my identification by me verifying the last four digits of my phone number. I refused and told them to close the account on the card due to their investigation of possible fraud activities.

Same deal with me...she wanted me to verify my SSN so she could approve my Bestbuy credit card application. When I told her I never apply for a Bestbuy card she asked me to verify my SSN. I told her no instead I gave her my house number and asked her if it match what was on the application. I told her if she has a full credit application then my house number should match. She said that was the house number of the address on the application and that the person was at Bestbuy on the phone waiting for approval. She stated she was going to tell the Bestbuy employee on the phone to tell the person waiting for approval that they were denied. They she advised me to contact their fraud department and they would follow up on the attempted fraud. I told her I had a fraud protection company that monitors my accounts. However, she insisted I take down some numbers and report this case. Calling those numbers is where I think they really get the information from the consumer. Because now the consumer thinks they are speaking with a real fraud department. The number she gave me were 800-685-1111 and 866-668-5747.

This number is from Citi. You will get a call from them if you applied for credit that is backed by Citi

I had received a call earlier from Citi Card regarding my Mastercard with them that they said had some fraudulent activity, I called the number they provided (I had recently received an email as well from them). Looking my account up online I confirmed several recent charges were fraudulent. After hanging up I received a call from this number and it was the same rep I had spoken to saying that my new card was being expedited via fed ex. It's a legit # from Citibank for their credit card dept, which handles many different credit cards.

a caller from 423-467-6460 said she was from Home Depot credit services and left the 1-866-272-0334 to return the call regarding a recent app but I didn't even apply so I didn't call back

This is legit. I have a Best Buy account through Citi. They wanted to verify that my account was valid.
