They called around 8pm tonight. It was a lady from the South (I could tell by her accent plus I asked her and she confirmed) who said she was conducting a survey in my area about radio stations and what kind of music people like to listen to here. I asked her if she knew what time it was in Halifax, seeing as that's apparently her job to call here I'd imagine she had a time chart to know when it was appropriate to call. She guessed 5 or 6, I corrected her and told her not to call back. This is the first call we've gotten from them.

If you can't leave me a message saying what you want then you will never talk with me. It's a shame I have to pay for a phone for emergency use then be bothered by these unwanted calls.

I can't imagine what I could be less interested in participating in (well okay, having my toenails pulled out with pliers would be first on the list). What could my radio listening habits possibly interest someone in Tennessee...the US?? Possibly I might respond if the survey company was based in my own country. The survey is supposed to be random...but I can't believe it as these idiots have called me previously for the same purpose. I wonder if the people who hire them know about the [***] quality of work they do!

How can i stop these calls

The Do Not Call list is a farce. Frankly, I sometimes wonder if it's a data bank for telemarketers. As for Wilkins Research (423-648-4908), they are relentless. They always call between 8:00 and 8:30. I don't even answer. I hit talk and then hang up without saying a word. Something is going on, because these types of calls have really increased lately. It's time to file an FCC complaint against them. I've done it to several others with positive results.

This number calls me on a Saturday morning in Halifax Nova Scotia. Since I never pick up for numbers I don't know I don't answer. They don't leave a message.

Called here in Dartmouth also this morning. Didn't answer as odd area code.

Couple of questions about this crap:1) I get a telemarketing call from the US so I figure I'll register my number with the US DNCL but it doesn't recognize my area code. 2) Who would I complain to.. FCC or CRTC or both?
