After receiving a call and gathering info from this page, I called Pacific Market Research's toll free line @ (877) 271-2300 and asked to be put on their Do Not Call list. They complied with my request and said it would take up to 48 hours to take effect. The girl I spoke w/ was nice was nice and accommodating.Thanks to all who have posted here. Information is power.

Called at 2:15 Sunday afternoon. Very nice young man asking if I would take a survey. I asked him what it was about and he said car insurance. I told him I was happy with my insurer, told him thanks and hung up.Put the number on my block caller list. No more calls from them from now on

I suspect they are a company designed to do nothing more than find out what time you're home, then resell that info to other org's

They hung up on me when they asked about my employer and I responed the Federal Government

This number calls my home phone about 4 times each day. Interestingly enough, the calls started on the same day as calls from Allied Interstat, which is a collection agency. I owe nobody money, and when I answer those calls I hear a computer voice say "please hold." I'm not going to sit there on hold... they called me. Are these two companies connected somehow?My answering machine now states "start talking, and if we know you, we will pick up."It just sucks to have to check the caller ID every time the phone rings. What would we do without it?
