Just had a few phone calls from 1-425-282-5526 which whom I did share a few choice words with as they were looking for either my husband or his ex-wife and wouldn't tell me who they were or what they were calling for. I went to the website after reading some posts here and talked to a woman who said they were probably calling about an IRS study. I informed them that we did not want any calls from them period...hopefully she got the point!
I too just got called - I called the mail number & they told me it was a database & it would take up to 24 hours for this to stop.
Called five times on a Sunday. Since I screen all my calls I never picked up the phone but can you imagine being interrupted five times throughout the day. Annoying and apparently nothing can be done about it. What's the good of being on the Do-not-call list??????
06/03/08 A week or so ago, I began getting frequent calls from 425-282-5526. I know that's the number, because it shows on Called ID. The phone rings two to four times, and if I answer, nobody on the other end of the line says anything; they hang up. These calls tend to come approximately two hours apart.I want them to stop calling. Day before yesterday, there were four calls from them; I wrote them down. The calls are disruptive and annoying, like prank calls. I've got other things to do than answer them.
I called and asked to be put on do not call list and they are still calling and hanging up if I pick up. There is a 30 day wait on the national do not call list, so as soon as my wait is over they are going to be reported and hopefully have to pay the fine.
