Automated call that says "hi, this is Tom from home protection." Have even called back and put my number on the do not call list however, they keep calling
It is Tom from Home Securities!
same deal has called 6 times over last 3 days. answered first and told him I had a security system.called back number and pressed 1 to be put on do not call list.got call today, he said "how's your security ?" I didn't answer and hung up after maybe twenty seconds of silence.
if you receive calls from 425-390-8126 or a company called new co with this number call the phone company and report them its a scam put a block on it. don't answer the phone
I've received numerous calls from this number, as well as about 5 calls a day from two other numbers registered to these "New Co" scammers. There has to be some legal recourse we can take if we can find out where they are located, does anyone know the best way to bring these low-lifes down?
Edit: If someone does have the ability to track where these calls truly originate from; I have plenty of time, money, and desire (as well as a phenomenal lawyer) to sue these people into oblivion.
I think that the calling back and pressing 1 will not actually remove you from their list. In fact, most people who posted about the "New A Co" scammers who said they pressed 1 have said they kept receiving the same amount of calls or even started getting more.I think they use the callback feature of you pressing 1 to register that your number is accurate. They're probably just phishing a bunch of phone numbers and when you call them back and press 1, then they know that there's someone there who is receiving the calls (and they know it isn't some unused or dead phone number), and they will call you more.I suggest adding any of their numbers to your contacts and setting them to silent/ no vibrate/ no notifier. Then they call and you don't even notice until you look at your phone, at which point you just click through your missed calls. :)I've looked online and here is a list of numbers I've compiled that are registered to these scammers:425-390-8126253-246-8553253-246-8552253-246-8535253-246-8501253-246-8510253-246-8586253-246-8573253-246-8543Generally it's a "253-246-..." #, & they seem to just use variations numbers for the last 4 digits. Also, it seems like they call generally in the morning, and it's usually a guy named "Tom" from "New A Co" trying to scam home security. They have attempted a few other scams as well though aside of the home security one. I've never answered but this is what I've researched. I hope it helps you all. :)
Got a call this morning let it go to voice mail maybe I will answer and tell the caller I live in a RV!
just got call from "TOM," changed the name of the company every time I asked to reconfirm to all of the options listed in the forum, Home Security, Home Protection, etc, etc... wanted to give a "free" GE security system to "a house" in "my neighborhood." Wasn't a recording b/c he repeated himself differently every time I said I didn't hear what he'd said. Next time I won't say anything. Just pick up and be silent, don't let these [***] know there's anyone at that number.BTW, why isn't scam listed as one of the call types? [***].
Don't anyone paid attendtion to the no call list? I am on that list and still getting the calls. When will this stop

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.
