There is never a message as it only rings 4 times, and by the time I get to the phone it is too late. I am on the "No Call" list , but doesn't seem to help, of course the phone companies are making mony from these calls.The annoying part is that they call between 5 am and 6am in the early morning.The phone company of course knows who it is, but does nothing.

This is an ancient scam as old as cardholder's services scam (decrease your credit card debt). I'm surprised people still use it or that there are people who haven't heard of it, but from the posts above there still are. These people are in India or Pakistan they are the same Call Centers that your phone company or cable company use when you call for technical help, and of course taking jobs from N. America isn't all they do. Their main business is fraud. Since they take outsourced jobs from US and Canada they may have your name and number and may even have the ability to appear to come from some NA company. I often get these calls an hour or two after Telus has called me trying to sell some service. It happens like clockwork. Tell whatever companies you deal with not to outsource your business to foreign countries or you will stop dealing with them. 800notes needs to put another category under Call Type: Fraud or Scam

have waited all day for this [***] wipe to call again....well just had brag Watson aka some guy from really bad accent finial called back..from v020719423100005 425-668-9652 said he was with Microsoft. played along like I was at my computer told me to hold down the windows key and the letter r I played along until the money question came up.. told him I am special agent john Roberts with the us marshals office special agent and that even thought the number is spoofed we had a wire trace on him and that the us marshals will be arriving soon, had the police scanner on I put the phone on speaker so that he could hear the scanner going off after a few choice words he hung up, but not after I told this low like where to go and how to get there and ive never heard of a person from india with the name of brag Watson. as I have stated before this call made my night.... this fool is not from Microsoft so do not fall for his bull [***].. play along then drop the hammer and have some fun with these scammers..... boy this was just too damn much fun.

Just had a call from this number, this Asian person who calls himself Steve Parker, and says he's with the "windows Anti Fraud Dept" they want to refund me $400 for a fraudulent program I bought 3 years ago.Can't issue me a cheque, I have to complete a form with my BANK ACCOUNT number.Don't get sucked in and don't give them anything. They also Don't want to Credit your credit card .... They want your bank account.

I got one at 5:15 am ! Not freakin' impressed!! Apparantly 425 is Kirkland, WA. Bad enough they call to scam us but at 5:15 am!!

My computer was going to shut down because of virus at any time. THey were technical support, and it was their job to inform me of this. Claimed to be from microsoft. Asked me if my computer was on, yes? I said, which one?! lol Wanted to know how many i had... I said, try your scam on someone else, and then hung up.

I have a friend that works for Microsoft in Seattle and I called him about this just to check it out with him. He says that only a scammer will do this.. It isn't something that M.S. would do. this guy has said that it is M.S. and that the computer is infected and needs to be cleaned. I still get the calls, just about 15 minutes ago again and when I do I tell them that I am a IT staff at a local business and it doesn't seem to stop them. So, I just let them know that I am reporting them to M.S. the FCC etc. Guess what? it doesn't stop them from trying again and again. The only thing you can do is just not answer a number unless you know the person. And even if they leave a message, it probably still is a scam. Better to be safe then sorry. DON'T ANSWER IT.

Noticed a call from this number at 9 am, didn't answer. I have a Mac. Another rotten scam? Since early October, I've been getting bombarded with phone calls from charities, now this? I don't usually answer the phone. Also, anytime a charity claims to be collecting for the "Police" - hang up - it's another big scam. What's wrong with people?
